Telecommuting offers a viable way to offset the steep and growing expense of gas and automobile maintenance.
In addition, a report by the US Consumer Electronics Association indicates that just one day of telecommuting saves the equivalent of up to 12 hours of average household’s electricity use and saves 1.4 gallons of gas and reduces CO2 emissions by 17-23 kilograms per day.
Home-based work helps individuals maintain a better balance between work and the rest of their lives.
